The focal point of our philosophy at Kars4kids has always been : “One good deed begets another”. We are thrilled that we were the inspiration for a new initiative from Saint Barnabas Medical Center.
Superheroes for Hospice will be hosting its third annual summer Comic sale on July 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Saint Barnabas Health Care System Corporate Office at 95 Old Short Hills Road in West Orange. The money raised from the comic book sales will benefit patients of the Saint Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center (SBHPCC). Spiro Ballas, SBHPCC Volunteer Coordinator, came up with the idea to sell comic books from the radio. “I heard the commercial for Kars-For-Kids on the radio, and figured if people donate cars, perhaps they would do the same with comics,” he said.
We wish Saint Barnabas much success in their fundraising endeavors and in the great work they do.
Here’s to seeing the formation of many more charitable programs and remember “together we can make the world a better place”
Oh… and by the way it’s 1-877-Kars4Kids not 1-800 Kars for Kids
